Where the Sagebrush Grows

It's amazing how fast you can accomplish things when you actually sit down and do it.  You know that email that I've been meaning to send to work, asking for a new job, that I just didn't have time to sit down and send?  Apparently it only took about 5 minutes.

Or how about that book I checked out from the library about accounting and Quickbooks that I've been meaning to read so I can start to actually do all the work my brother has for me?  Well, I actually still haven't done that yet and am not looking forward to it.

Anyway, I'm up in Logan today with the Asian Chicken Platter (see below) and decided to actually do all these things I've been putting off and it turns out they're really not that bad.  Maybe I should work on being more productive everyday.

This picture has absolutely nothing to do with post, but I love Tracy and I love China

The Buddha

Welcome to my blog. I'm going to try to be better about posting now that I have officially said goodbye to my China blog. Speaking of my China blog, you might be wondering why I am so obsessed with Buddha. Here is the story....

When I was 11, my brother came home from his LDS Mission in Lima, Peru. The first conversation I remember having with him went something like this, "you know, you really turned into a brat while I was gone. You should try to be a little nicer." The second conversation went like this:

Todd - We need a nickname for you.
Me - Ok, what is it going to be?
Todd - Hmm...how about Buddha?
Me - Why Buddha?
Todd - Because you had a little Buddha belly when you were a baby.
Me - Ok. Well, what am I going to call you?
Todd - How about Flipper, because I like to wear flip-flops.
Me - That's the dumbest name I've ever heard. (I guess I really was a brat)

Flipper didn't stick, but Buddha did. Along with Buddha, I also go by Elizabeth, Liz, Lizzie, Lizard, Lizard Breath, Pipsqueak, Little Liz, Libby, Libster, Ribby, Piz, Lizzer, and Lizzie McGuire (not happily). I know there's more, just can't think of them now.

Feel free to call me whatever you like, just no Lizard Breath or Lizzie McGuire.
Please & Thank You.

Love, The Buddha
